• Activities and Societies: Grad Ceramics, Ancient Technologyresearch Included the Origins of the Ceramic Arts. Specifically the Archaeolgical Findings of Ur . I Settled on the Neolithic Ceramics of the Western Central Portion of What Is Now Called China. My Ancient Technology Class Content Pointed Me in the Direction of Experimentation and Development. I Built a Neolithic Style Kiln and Created Pieces from the Clay I Dug on the Farm I Lived On. Geological Aspects Played a Large Part in the Success of the Project. Many Pieces Were Created Using This Ancient Technology. My Next Stage in the Study Took Me Through the Process of Glaze Creation from Natural Material. Due to a Project We Were Doing School Wide at My School I Settled on Building a Wood Kiln of an 19th Century French Design. As an End to This Study I Encorporated the Knowledge Into the Lessons in My Classroom. the Students Created Glaze Tiles and Made Choices for Their Finished Products by Making Qualfied Choices and Experimentation.
• Activities and Societies: Work Study Lab Assitant. Ceramics Studio. Support Students in All Aspects of Learning. Clay Mixing and Kiln Firing for Class Work. Also Worked in the Uw-w Graphics Lab As a Photographer and Graphic Artist and the Art Department Art History and Printing Shop.my Studies at Uw-whitewater Included Many Courses Running the Periferal of the Arts. the Courses Included Physics Photography, Geology and Religeous Studies. Several Films Were Created During a Film Studies Class and the Art History of Architecture Played an Important Role in My Development As an Artist and Designer. My Final Paper on Architectural Asthetics and Solar/green Concepts Was Delivered at the Culmination of My Studies in 1977
• Activities and Societies: Us Navyrecip Engine Mechanics Performed All Aspects of Preventive Maintainance on Rotary Piston Engines, Specifically the Pratt and Whitney 3350 Cyclone 18 Cylinder Engine. the Engines Were Utilized in Several Navy Aircraft Including: S2f, P2, A1e, to Name a Few.
• My Interests in the Arts Led Me to Enroll in the Graphic Arts Program. the Major Emphasis of Study Was Printshop Operation and Publication. During the First Year of the Program I Took Employment at a Small Newspaper As Printer and Photographer. the Program Taught Me Sound Darkroom Skills and Placed Me in a Position of Better Judgement in Regard to the Finished Printed Page and Editing. I Operated Presses Which Printed Several Publications Including the Wisconsin Archeaologist Magazine.
